With the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, you no longer need to slide to open or press the home button to see your iPhone’s screen. Thanks to Raise to Wake, you simply have to pick up your phone or raise it to see any notifications without any button press.

However, if you don’t wish to use this feature, you can turn it off. Please note that Raise to wake feature is currently available for the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone SE.

2. Limit Notifications on the Lock Screen

With the iOS 10, your iPhone 7 and 7 Plus can now show a lot of notifications on the lock screen. This allows you to see important messages, miss called, reminders or more. However, you can still manage this information and decide which one you allow to see without the passcode.

3. New way to unlock your iPhone

To unlock your iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, you don’t have to do Slide to Unlock again. You have two new ways to it, press the home button or rest your finger on the home button. However, you can still unlock your iPhone with Touch ID the same way you did with iOS 9.

4. Manage the haptic feedback

The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus has no physical home button, but you can still use the home button by adjusting the haptic feedback when you press the home button. To do this, just go to Settings > General > Home Button. Then, choose your click, from 1, 2 or 3. Level 1 is light feedback while level 3 is heavy haptic feedback. Just try each level and find which level is the best suit for you.
